E017/2023/EXB CEPOL Exchange-bite on EU Cooperation Tools and Mechanism and Schengen Information System

The aim of this training is to share the professional experience and knowledge gained by participants of the CEPOL Exchange Programme 2023 in France, Germany, Spain and Türkiye.

With this Exchange-bite, the audience will be able to:

• Gain insight into the details of EU Cooperation Tools and Mechanisms (EUROPOL-INTERPOL- EMCDDA – EU PROJECTS e.g. HORIZON EUROPE, ERASMUS+, RESCEU);
• Learn about Türkiye’s agreement and cooperation in accordance with these mechanisms and projects;
• Implement best practices into their own workflows;
• Enhance general knowledge on the application of Art. 36.3 in People and vehicles and on the application methods of Art. 24 (SIS regulation);
• Gain insight into the Spanish legislation and the advantages of specific controls in Spain, and the working methods of a patrol officer and his/her contact with the SIRENE office;
• Learn about PCCC’s (Police and customs cooperation centres) functions in reinforcing mechanisms and procedures of cross-border law enforcement cooperation and how the EU co-funds PCCCs for experience and best practices exchange.
