E017/2025/EXB Fugitive Active Search Teams – Cooperation in the ENFAST network

The aim of this exchange-bite is to inform European law enforcement officials about the distinctions between Fugitive Active Search Teams (FAST) units in legal possibilities, methodology, techniques and tools used in fugitive investigation. It will also present the European Network of Fugitive Active Search Teams (ENFAST) network, cooperation and the outcome of the exchange, especially the possible implementation of good practices.

By the end of this exchange-bite, the audience will be able to:

• Demonstrate general knowledge and understanding of ENFAST network, FAST teams and fugitive investigation/fugitive active search field;
• Understand, identify and compare main investigation tools and techniques in fugitive search field;
• Learn and identify the differences in legal possibilities in fugitive search between countries;
• Recognise the value of international cooperation, information share and sharing of good practices.
