E036/2023/EXB CEPOL Exchange-bite on CEPOL-EJTN Joint Exchange Programme I.

CEPOL cooperates since 2020 with the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) within the frame of a joint exchange programme addressed to prosecutors, investigative judges and law enforcement officials involved in cross-border cases. The CEPOL-EJTN initiative is a hands-on training programme enabling the EU judiciary and law enforcement to exchange about each other’s practices on the field.
The aim of this training is to inform the audience about the experience of exchangees of the CEPOL-EJTN Joint Exchange Programme 2023 from Albania, Romania and Sweden who completed their exchanges with counterparts from the judicial system. They completed their exchanges with Bulgarian, Hungarian and Spanish counterparts in the thematic areas of irregular migration, IT-forensics and trafficking in human beings.
With this Exchange-bite, the audience will be able to:
- Understand flows of irregular immigrations, trends and other related issues; the documentation of irregular immigration and criminalisation of this phenomenon; immigration detention and alternatives to detention and gain knowledge related to the processing of irregular immigration (pre – screening, asylum procedures etc.);
- Gain knowledge on the difference between the Hungarian and the Swedish IT-forensics e.g. organisation, workflow and tools. Is one way better than the other? What are the limitations?;
- Comprehend some aspects of the trafficking in human beings phenomenon in Romania, Bulgaria and Spain.
