Online Course 2005/2024/ONL: SIRENE 1

The aim of the activity is to improve the operational cooperation between national competent authorities, such as border guards, the police, customs authorities, migration authorities and, in particular, the SIRENE Bureaux and the staff of the Member States' SPOC Front Desks in their efforts in maintaining a high level of security within the area of freedom, security and justice of the Union.
Upon completion of this training activity, participants will be able to:
- Define the main elements of all SIS alert categories in accordance with SIS Regulations;
- Describe the main procedures for the exchange of supplementary information;
- Apply the provisions of the SIS Regulations, SIRENE Manuals and SIRENE Handbook;
- Select the appropriate SIRENE forms and complete them in the correct way, following the instructions and in line with DEBS;
- Use the training materials related to SIS and SIRENE available on CEPOL’s Law Enforcement Education Platform (LEEd) in their daily work;
- Discover the specificities of the national procedures at the level of each MS;
- Identify methods of cooperating more efficiently and effectively.
The course will be held entirely in English, therefore it is essential that nominated officials possess appropriate language skills (at least B2 level). The entire activity will be carried out online hence the physical presence of participants will not be required.
However, the course will include scheduled live online sessions, mainly in the mornings, for which the participants presence is mandatory.

Selected participants have to be registered to CEPOL's Law Enforcement Education platform LEEd where the online activity will take the place.
