The aim of the activity is to enhance the fight against online child sexual exploitation by improving skills of law enforcement officers in area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) when dealing with AI generated child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Upon completion of this training activity, participants will be able to:

  • Define common features of Artificial Intelligence generated child sexual abuse material.
  • Describe the challenges when dealing with Artificial Intelligence generated child sexual abuse material.
  • Summarise how Artificial Intelligence benefits law enforcement agencies through application of Artificial Intelligence models relevant for CSE investigations.
  • Summarise how Artificial Intelligence benefits criminals through misuse of generative AI models.
  • Demonstrate innovative practices via applications of open-source and other Artificial Intelligence models and describe the challenges related to application of Artificial Intelligence models.
  • Recommend the relevant/various Artificial Intelligence tools that can be used in CSE investigations.
  • Recognise the impact of the emerging technologies on the CSE threat landscape and be able to adapt to it.
  • Recognise and recommend partnerships with relevant stakeholders and partners in the field of combatting CSE.

The course will be held entirely in English, therefore it is essential that nominated officials possess appropriate language skills (at least B2 level). The entire activity will be carried out online hence the physical presence of participants will not be required.

However, the course will include scheduled live online sessions, mainly in the mornings, for which the participants presence is mandatory. In addition to the live sessions, the participants are expected to dedicate time to read through compulsory pre-course study material before the training to fully benefit from the activity.

Selected participants have to be registered to CEPOL's Law Enforcement Education platform LEEd where the online activity will take the place.
