Online Course 2009/2022: ETIAS and its role in the scope of interoperability

The overall aim of this online course is to raise awareness of participants on the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS), its functionalities and its role in law enforcement practice.
The learning strategy builds on the aim to provide a 360-degree view of ETIAS as a system and its role in border management and internal security. The learning strategy involves online live presentations, dedicated Q&A sessions, presentation of the most relevant business use cases, which could evolve to online assignments to the audience. Platform discussions will be endorsed through the dedicated Q&A sessions and after assignments.
The course will be delivered online over a period of 3 days, between 21 and 23 November 2022. Participants are expected to study around 2-4 hours per day during this period. Whilst there is no specific time slot when participants shall be available for completing the course tasks, they should follow the training continuously on a daily basis. Live sessions attendance is mandatory.
The course will be held entirely in English, therefore it is essential that nominated officials possess appropriate language skills (at least B2 level). The entire activity will be carried out online on CEPOL’s Law Enforcement Education Platform (LEEd), hence the physical presence of participants will not be required.
