It is a great honour for CEPOL to host a high-level delegation from Spain at its premises in Budapest. I am grateful to Minister Grande-Marlaska for his visit and his continuous support towards our agency. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our Spanish partners and the CEPOL National Unit for their enthusiasm and dedication to promote CEPOL’s work. We wish Spain every success in their upcoming Presidency of the Council of the EU and we are ready to provide our full support, within the scope of CEPOL’s mandate'.

The delegation was invited to a presentation of CEPOL’s priorities and activities, with a focus on the implementation of the new CEPOL strategy, as well as the agency’s international cooperation projects. During a short tour of the building, they met with staff and received an overview of how CEPOL training activities, both onsite and online, are prepared and delivered.

Spain’s involvement in CEPOL’s activities is highly appreciated. Today’s meeting provided a chance to reflect on future models of cooperation and explore new ways of working together, with the aim to offer law enforcement officials the best possible training opportunities at EU level.
